Atrish Sanchez MP – Parliament Questions May 2025

This month, we submitted our Parliamentary Questions on the 14th of May, and as always, it’s my pleasure to keep you updated.
The issues I’ve raised reflect what so many of you continue to share with me, week in and week out.
From concerns around domiciliary care to questions on the ERS and mental health, these are some of the everyday challenges that matter to you.
This month, I’ve asked about the remaining provisions under the Domestic Abuse Act, as well as the support and transition plans for St Martin’s School leavers. I’ve also sought updates on the Queen’s Hotel Hostel and Bridge House (Men’s Halfway House), along with questions around care apprenticeships and the recruitment of key roles such as the Homes Manager at Bruce’s Farm.
A number of questions have also focused on domiciliary care, home support, respite services, and safeguarding alerts, particularly within the Elderly Residential Services (ERS) and wider care sector. I’ve also raised several questions concerning Mount Alvernia and Hillsides, as well as broader questions about overtime expenses and non-contractual allowances across the ERS and GHA. In addition, I’ve followed up on the Mental Health Board Annual Inspection Report 2024, touching on housing issues, ERS transfers, and mental capacity assessments.
These aren’t just policy matters, they’re about people’s daily lives. These are the issues that affect so many of you, and we will keep raising them on your behalf.
Thank you to everyone who continues to reach out. Your voice matters, and we’ll continue to make sure it’s heard.
