Our sound policies have brought both economic stability and an improved quality of life to all Gibraltarians.
Gibraltar is safer, politically, internationally, socially and economically than ever before. The GSD will continue to meet the challenges that have afforded us the success that we enjoy today.

The GSD has put investment in, and development of, Sports and Leisure facilities at the heart of its policies because they are important dimensions of the quality of life and health of our citizens and also contribute vitally to the character building of our children and young people during their formative years. We have therefore ensured that a significant slice of the fruits of our successful economy have been invested in this important area.
• King’s Bastion Leisure Centre (ice skating, tin pin bowling, amusement machines, cinemas, disco, lounges, cafes and restaurants etc)
• New, high quality children’s playgrounds and family leisure facilities at Westside Promenade, Europa Point, Line Wall boulevards and in many other places around Gibraltar
• New Sports Hall, playing fields, water sport and other facilities at Bayside Sports Centre
• New small boats owners marina at Coaling Island
• New Swimming Pool for the elderly and disabled and Government takeover of GASA pool (free public use)
• Fitness Gym at King’s Bastion and “keep fit” equipment in the streets
