The GSD invite you to share in our vision that has successfully transformed Gibraltar into a progressive community; one in which we very evidently enjoy security, stability and prosperity. Our vision is to continue to develop Gibraltar both domestically and internationally in a successful but safe way. Our recipe has been shown to work and to deliver positive results for Gibraltar – safely!
It is clear that our policy on relations with Spain and the United Kingdom has served Gibraltar well and we will strive to underpin the success that we have had and move further toward a well balanced relationship that will continue to see Gibraltar prosper as a community, whilst always maintaining our position and democratic right to determine our future as a people.
Gibraltar is now widely regarded and respected worldwide as a forward thinking and diverse economy and society, enjoying a high standard of living. We will continue to invest (for now and for our future) in our economy, in our public services (especially our health, education and care services) in our city and its urban environment, (streets, roads and squares) in our institutions as we have done in our new hospital, buses, prison, sports centre, leisure centre, air terminal, court houses and car parks.
And we will continue with our intense policies, work and investment to resolve our current and internal problems such as, housing, traffic and parking.
And so we are tunnelling under the runway, and we are building dual carriageways, traffic interchanges and roundabouts to reduce traffic congestion. We are building car parks on an unprecedented scale. Never ever has a Government in Gibraltar been engaged in building so many home-ownership affordable homes, new rental estates, as well as repairing the botched housing schemes of the previous Government.
Gibraltar is prosperous; our vision is real.
